With locations across the UK and a finance hub based in Weymouth, my client is a globally recognised retail brand. Due to continued growth and internal changes, they are looking to add to their teams with a part-qualified finance analyst.
Job Description
Finance Analyst:
- Responsible for management and workloads of 1 staff member within the team.
- Extracting/receiving data from the stock systems weekly to reconcile and summarise stock movements.
- Analysis of stock movements for communication to DC and investigation and resolution of any system errors.
- Accurate summarising and reporting of long-term storage stock.
- Accurate summarising and reporting of blanks stock.
- Weekly reconciliation of stock movements across third-party hubs/warehouses.
- Completion of monthly control accounts with relevant supporting documentation.
- Investigation and resolution of control account issues.
- Reconciling stock in-transit weekly.
- Analysing and reporting on stock loss.
- Preparation of monthly accruals, provisions & prepayments for Stock & CTM area.
- Analysis and investigation of variances versus budget/forecast within the charges to margin accounts.
- Other ad-hoc monthly/quarterly support and tasks to support Stock/CTM Finance Manager
The Successful Applicant
Finance Analyst:
- Part-qualified accountant or qualified by experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior manager/head of levels and outside the business.
- Good organisational skills and ability to work to tight timescales and a laid down timetable.
- Strong service level and transaction-driven background to consistently hit a high level of KPIs.
- Good analytical approach with strong attention to detail.
- A can-do attitude and good problem-solving skills.
- Commercial and practical approach in resolving day-to-day issues.
- Ability to create and maintain a strong control environment.
- Ability to identify control weaknesses and offer solutions.
- Able to work within strict policy and procedural guidelines.
- Technical abilities require the competent use of a PC, including: Access, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Finance Systems.
