Job description
To continue to practice operationally in line with the Job Description of aParamedic when not undertaking Specialist Paramedic placements, prior to agreed competency sign offs to undertake specialist skills unsupervised. To practice to the appropriate specialist level in line with training, subject to agreed competency sign off and demonstration of suitable clinical experience as new skills are attained. To undertake duties in the Emergency Operations Centres/Clinical Hubs, in a clinical advisory capacity, triaging and prioritising emergency and urgent calls to determine appropriate Service responses. This includes assessment and co-ordination of clinical advice calls from operational ambulance crews and responders. To engage and progress with the planned placements and programme ofeducation at an associated Higher Education Institution (HEI) or education centre as required. Willingness to participate in and undertake collaborative rotational working partnerships within the wider health care system urgent care, primary care, community care. Willingness to undertake rotational working within other departments in the Trust for example Clinical Coordination Centre/Urgent Care Desk. Ensure that the appropriate manager is kept informed of progression &results, bringing items of concern or difficulty to the attention of the linemanager in a timely manner. Undertake advanced patient assessment, treatments and discharge in linewith appropriate guidelines under the supervision and direction of anappropriate mentor during clinical placements. Maintain factual and accurate records, under direct supervision by anappropriate mentor during clinical placements, as required by the Trust or hosting organisation. To be of a smart appearance at all times incorporating appropriateSCAS/HEI/Placement regulations to the wearing of uniform. To work with patients, educators, colleagues and mentors in a professional, calm and caring manner.
