Role Overview: As the Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving our engineering efforts, leading a team of talented professionals. Your primary focus will be on advancing rail technology, and we're seeking an individual with a solid background in managing development projects from concept to completion, coupled with Mechanical Design expertise using SolidWorks.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary engineering team to achieve breakthroughs in rail technology.
- Innovation: Drive the development of cutting-edge solutions, overseeing the entire product lifecycle from conceptualization through design and manufacturing.
- Collaboration: Foster collaboration between engineering teams, ensuring seamless communication and synergy across departments.
- Quality Assurance: Uphold the highest standards of quality and compliance in all engineering processes.
- Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development and execution of the company's long-term engineering strategy.
Requirements:
- Rail Sector Experience: Proven experience within the rail industry, understanding its unique challenges and opportunities. (Rail experience would be highly beneficial but the team would also look at candidates from other markets)
- SolidWorks Proficiency: Adept at Mechanical Design using SolidWorks, with a track record of taking projects from concept to manufacturing.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams to achieve ambitious goals.
- Innovative Mindset: Passion for pushing the boundaries of technology and driving innovation in the rail sector.
