Longview Care Home is a family-run care home in the heart of Cornwall, offering Residential, Home and Day Care services for people who need care and/or additional support.
Established in 1981, we’ve grown to become exceptionally proud of our experienced staff and the respect we offer our residents. We maintain professionalism whilst ensuring our residents feel at home, comfortable and safe with our friendly staff.
We are now looking for a Domiciliary Carer to join our team on a permanent basis, with guaranteed working hours of at least ten hours a week, with full time hours expected as demand requires.

The Role
As a Domiciliary Carer, you will assist our clients in their day-to-day routines. Your duties will vary depending on the needs of the clients, but are likely to include personal care, assisting with dressing, washing, styling hair, shaving, cooking and preparing meals as well as administering their medication at the correct times if necessary.
Undertaking a range of domestic duties, you may assist in cleaning, laundry, ironing and food shopping as well as paying welfare visits, offering companionship and taking our clients to appointments.
About You
To be considered as a Domiciliary Carer, you will need:
- To be caring and compassionate
- To be a people-person
- A full, valid driving UK licence and your own car
Experience in care would be beneficial to your application but is not essential.
Please note, this role will involve lone working and day and night shifts.
