Busy Bee Recruitment are currently working with a specialist social care company who specialise in providing care and support for young people in residential homes and semi-independent living services. We have a very exciting position for a Children’s Home Manager to now lead one of their homes in Milton Keynes to carry forward their mission of supporting young people through an open and flexible person-centred approach.

As Children’s Home Manager for this 1-bed home, you will be responsible for the day to day running of the service for those with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties aged between 12 and 15, with the support of a strong team of care professionals.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Holding supervisions for existing staff and induct new employees.
• Rota planning and shift coordinating.
• Delivering high quality support tailored to the service users’ needs whilst promoting their dignity independence.
• Undertaking observations on those in your care and documenting this as necessary in their care plans.
• Ensuring care plans for young people are delivered and adjusted where applicable with continual quality care reviews.
• Working in partnership with professional bodies, parents and carers to achieve the very best outcomes for the young people in your care
• Managing the full staff team and running recruitment where applicable

What we are looking for:

• Previous experience working with young people
• Right to work in the UK
• A full UK driving license
• Level 3 Qualification in Residential Childcare
• A minimum of 1 years’ experience working with children in a professional setting
• Good communication skills written and verbal
• A passion for working and learning with children
• A confident, kind, and creative personality
