Assistant Management Accountant
Peterborough - Hybrid
Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
Salary £28,000-£30,000 (Experience-dependent)
An exciting opportunity working for the 4th largest insurance provider in the UK. They are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join their fast paced and busy Peterborough team on a permanent basis.
Role Overview
As part of the role, you'll be responsible for month end reporting, cost centre/stakeholder management, as well as working with the wider finance team for the delivery of forecasts within set deadlines. You'll work to obtain relevant management information to assist providing information to key stakeholders and participate in projects. You'll also assist with presentations for the Board as well as liaising with cost centre management to review their monthly costs. You'll enjoy working as part of a larger team and will proactively work with other finance colleagues to share learning and best practice.
Duties
Support accurate and consistent Financial Reporting and Forecasting
Working with cost recharges and quarterly analysis
Take ownership in the production and presentation of accurate and timely management account information
Assist in the consolidation and presentation of forecasting
Assist with ad hoc information requests
Develop an understanding of the Insurance business models for P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash flow including relevant KPIs
About you
Proven experience of budgeting and forecasting - this is essential
Must have strong stakeholder management
Ideally experience of working in a larger sized company with various departments
Ability to work under pressure in order to meet deadlines
Good inter-personal skills at all levels
P and L
Strong work ethic, ability to be flexible and adaptable, in order to get the job done
Part Qualified - either CIMA or ACCA
AAT Qualified
Excel skills
SAGE Intact and/or Anaplan user experience
