Job description
"POWYS County Council and bubltown have partnered to create a best-in-class mobile application scheme which allows POWYS County Council residents to access all of their exclusive favourite benefits and rewards with a swipe or tap of their screen.
bubltown are now looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic Powys local to expand our reach and relationship with the business community in Powys. This individual will be responsible for the recruitment of businesses to the scheme in several target areas all over the city and its surrounding area. This will mean scheduling in-person visits and phone/ video call appointments with businesses to make sure they have a good understanding of the scheme and are adequately trained in the system.
Skillset Required
Excellent people skills: the ability to build a relationship with business owners, understand their issues and educate them on how joining the scheme platform will help them achieve their business objectives
Excellent communicator: you must be comfortable face-to-face networking and communicating with staff at all levels and have the skills to produce well-written material for a variety of media such as the website, newsletter and case study articles for social media sites.
Very persuasive: the ability to persuade small business owners of the benefits of joining the scheme and how they could best use the scheme to benefit themselves and their customers.
Highly organised: the ability to create and maintain a calendar which will include managing in-person business visits, scheduled calls and other activities to promote the scheme
Technically Literate: the ability to quickly learn and grasp new systems. Quickly get up to date on how to operate the bubltown system and then pass that knowledge on to businesses. Once training has been completed, be able to handle technical questions from small businesses; as well as, support businesses to maintain, review and update their pages on the app with clear engaging, up to date content and promotions, suggesting improvements and providing guidance to businesses
Local knowledge: A good grasp of the local business landscape, understanding how the recruitment of certain key businesses in the area will benefit the app. Recommend certain businesses to leadership for recruitment and co-ordinate with leadership to bring these high value businesses on board
Fluent in Welsh language
Experience Required
Minimum 12 months on-the-job experience in a business/sales related role
Achieved pass rates at GCSE in Maths and English minimum
Completed relevant college/university courses with pass grades.
Commercial and practical understanding of the digital marketing world
Excellent client-facing and communication skills
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills when networking and engaging with businesses
Ability to schedule work and deliver to tight deadlines
Location: the majority of the time will be spent in appointments with businesses, virtually or in-person. There may also be the need to attend in-person meetings, on an ad-hoc basis, in bubltown offices."
