Up to £52,983 per annum

The programme will help to achieve transformational change for residents and businesses. It will do this by building support for infrastructure, land and property projects - and attracting the investment required to deliver them.

The Opportunity:

As the Localities Lead for the Essex 2055 programme, you will play a pivotal hands-on role in driving local transformational change. You will provide insights on the possible futures for different localities to provide decision makers with a shared understanding of their relevant trade-offs.

This influential and strategic role will lead on carrying out the qualitative and quantitative research required for the Essex 205 programme and your deep understanding of Theories of Change will be a vital input that will enable the success of the programme.

Throughout the progression of the Essex 2055 programme, you will ….

• Use your networking skills to identify subject matter experts in each participating locality , spanning the six programme themes. Keep them informed about and encourage them to engage with the Essex 2055 programme

• Use your evaluation skills and experience to assess the social, economic and environmental impacts of infrastructure, land and property projects in each locality over the past 10 years. Refine the Theory of Change as more quantitative and qualitative information becomes available

• Use your analytical skills to identify the key factors that could influence the 30-year roadmaps for each locality, managing inputs from socioeconomic consultants as appropriate. Test your findings with local and subject matter experts

• Use your presentation skills to ensure a shared understanding of the trade-offs of different potential roadmaps . Work closely with communications specialists to help shape deliberative engagement sessions with residents and businesses

• Use your creative thinking skills to respond positively to concerns raised by decision makers during consensus building sessions

• Use your report writing skills to collate an Insights Report , explaining how the agreed Outcomes Roadmap has been reached for each locality

Please note that this opportunity will require some travel to community engagement events across the county.
