CMA HR Division: HR Manager Vacancy

CMA HR Division are assisting a reputable values and people driven business based in Portsmouth to recruit a HR Manager to head up their employee relations support team on an permanent basis. Reporting to the HR Director the role is a key member of the HR team with clear development and progression opportunities within the business.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage and provide leadership to the Employee relations HR advisor team.
2. Provide pragmatic and timely advice on all cases; disciplinary, grievance, appeal, and investigation meetings, and ensure they are completed in a timely fashion.
3. Coach and influence line managers to ensure the appropriate outcome is achieved in each case.
4. Manage employee consultation, redeployment, or termination of employment through TUPE and redundancy exercises.
5. Liaise with recognised Trade union representatives on any changes as appropriate.
6. Work with the Head of L&D to provide formal training and tools to line managers to improve capability in managing employee relations issues including conducting investigations and formal hearings, conduct versus capability and decision making.

Suitable Candidate:

Proven experience in a Senior generalist HR role ideally CIPD qualified with Team management experience. Sound experience in complex employee relations. Experience of working in a commercial fast pace sector. Commitment to high standards and an unwavering attention to detail.
