About the role:
Our busy Rentals and RV Service Centre in Christchurch (near the airport) is looking for a full-time Fleet Repair Specialist to join their crew. Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you will be working with both the rentals and sales teams to repair fleet and sales vehicles, fit accessories to vehicles and perform warranty work.
- Restore vehicles as part of the refurbishment programme to prescribed standards.
- Fit accessories as part of fleet repairs and sales requirements.
- Ensure all assigned daily tasks are actioned in a timely manner.
- Work as part of the team to achieve productivity targets.
- Assisting with the upkeep and cleaning of the branch sites and premises.
- Actively participate in the thl Health and Safety system.
About you:
- Education
- Trade certification or experience in areas such as carpentry or panel beating
- Boat building type background
- Criteria (advantageous)
- Worked with the exterior and interior of motorhomes and caravans in the past
- Experience in woodwork/cabinet making
- Criteria (expected)
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Being responsible for the quality and completion of own tasks
- Ability to follow instructions and requests as directed.
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent command of English - both written and spoke
- Willingness to learn new tasks/skills.
- Participate in training/development activities to improve personal and team knowledge and service provision.
- Contribute positively to team morale and service delivery.
- Adaptability to changing environment.
- Assist specialised crews as required.
- Full valid driver's licence.
