Exciting Opportunity for Latin Teachers in Watford!
GSL Education are currently seeking a number of dedicated and knowledgeable Latin Teachers to join our client schools in Watford . This is an exceptional opportunity to share your passion for classical languages and inspire students in their exploration of Latin.
Candidate Responsibilities as a Latin Teacher:
- Planning and delivering engaging Latin lessons that foster an understanding of grammar, vocabulary and translation.
- Inspiring students to explore the historical and cultural context of the Roman world through language and literature.
- Cultivating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and a love for classical studies.
- Utilizing creative teaching methods and resources to make Latin accessible and relevant to students.
- Assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback and tailoring instruction to meet individual learning needs.
- Collaborating with colleagues to develop cross-curricular connections and enrich the students' educational experience.
Candidate Qualifications and Attributes:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialization in Latin or classical languages.
- In-depth knowledge of Latin grammar, syntax and literature.
- Passion for classical studies and a commitment to fostering students' curiosity and appreciation for the ancient world.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building strong relationships with students and colleagues.
- Strong classroom management skills, creating a respectful and engaging learning environment.
- Dedication to continuous professional development and staying updated with advancements in Latin education.
- In possession of an Enhanced DBS or willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
