About the apprenticeship

Duties

Working alongside our mechanical maintenance team, you'll be delving into the nitty gritty details of today's technology, working with mechanical systems in order to maximise efficiency. You will play a key part in diagnosing and determining the cause of faults in mechanical plant and equipment. Your role will entail positioning, assembling, installing, and dismantling mechanical plant and equipment which will include pumps, valves, gearboxes, pipework. Whilst also carrying out planned, unplanned and preventative maintenance procedures on mechanical plants and equipment.

Ability to analyse and interpret information and effectively communicate this to different team members and audiences


Ability to travel freely across our patch to visit different sites and travel to meetings and training days


Curiosity to learn quickly in a reactive and dynamic working environment


Ability to work in all weather conditions to serve our customers and protect the environment

Qualifications

For this Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard we require all candidates to have a minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grades 9-4/A*-C including Maths and English and other relevant subjects such as Science/Design Technology.
