We have locations across London, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Manchester and our newest Permit Room Bar-Cafe in Brighton, plus a range of kitchens to ensure our guests can enjoy our food at home!

As well as running busy sites with big teams, we also understand the importance of doing more. From planting trees with our teams in the UK & India, tying Rakhis with our guests, to our dedication to helping to feed children through Meal for a Meal. Since January 2024, we have donated 20 million meals and counting, with each Dishoomwalle contributing to 55 meals per shift! Our Edinburgh café sits within a stunning 1920s-era listed building and honours the academic pursuits of Sir Patrick Geddes – a Scottish botanist, sociologist, town planner who founded the department of Sociology & Civics at Bombay University.

What to expect:

• Free team meals every shift, plus all the Chai you can drink!
• £13.25 - £13.50 per hour inclusive of tronc (based on the last 3-month’s average). We pay on a monthly basis.
• A full-time role working across 5 days, Monday - Sunday availability required.
• A weekly changing rota provided at least 10 days in advance.
• We're an all day dining Cafe, meaning our teams work a variety of daytime and evening shifts (not the usual always late nights!)
• Access to our award-winning training programmes and support. We focus on your development from day one and proudly promoted 211 Dishoomwalles last year!
• The usual number of days holiday a year - paid for, including tronc. Our sites are closed Christmas Day and Boxing Day, and if you have children, we’ll provide one extra day to take them to their first day at school.
• No uniforms here - smart casual and comfortable is key, and of course trainers are fine.

In Dishoom, we see every team member as valuable and important to ensuring the all-around brilliant experience for our guests. We are looking for curious, energetic and helpful people to join our team as Food Runners.

Our Food Runners:

• Deliver huge trays of food and drink to all of our guests, dealing with any special requests (e.g. allergies), and alway make sure we have everything we need for a smooth shift!
• Work in a very big and busy environment. In Dishoom you can easily total an average step count of just over 20,000 steps per shift.

In return, we’ll ensure you’re always supported on shift, with a number of Babus (Managers) plus 40-50 other Dishoomwalles all working together.

So what are we looking for?

• If you haven’t worked in hospitality before, no problem, we’ll provide the right training and support to set you up for success.
• Previous work experience in a role - minimum 6 months is preferred - any industry.
• A willingness to learn about food, drink and looking after people (guest and team alike).
