25 Hours (Mon to Fri 8.30 to 1.30pm) permanent Salary amounts quoted are from 1 Sep – 31 Aug and therefore if you commence employment part way through the academic year, they are subject to an equated salary adjustment. Grade E. Actual salary (£13,162 - £14,340) Depending on length of service Term time only + 4 days We require a Mobile Catering Unit Manager who has the skill, drive, and passion to lead the various catering teams and deliver the highest quality of food and service, they must be able to adapt to various kitchens across the Central and the East of Gateshead. For many years we have run a highly successful school Catering Service which is a key part of our core provision. You will caters for between 100 and 300 pupils each day a choice mid-day two course meal. This is an exciting opportunity for you to join our enthusiastic and hardworking team as Mobile Catering Manager The successful candidate will stand in to manage the school catering team as required, to ensure the delivery of a safe, healthy and high-quality catering service to the school, which is within budget and to customer satisfaction. This will include all aspects of food preparation, cooking and food service, kitchen and dining area hygiene and other duties associated with food service operations; as well as providing a supportive environment for the ongoing development of existing staff. You will lead and inspire teams of catering assistants working various hours. We offer excellent facilities and equipment and a bright and open dining spaces. You would be enthusiastic to supporting theme events in schools and meeting the requirements of School Food Standards. The successful candidate will have experience of providing excellent service in a similar catering role as well as level 2 qualification in Health and safety and a level 3 qualification in food safety. They will also have a qualification or equivalent in food preparation and cooking, as well as allergen awareness.
