Job Description
- Conduct demand forecasting to prevent stock shortages
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of good
- To liaise effectively with purchasing/SOP to work and plan that all amendments are dealt with the achieve 100% customer service
- Assist in the development of procurement strategies
- To schedule efficient production plans for both labour and equipment
- To attend meetings to discuss the next days plans and labour requirements
- To provide a service to the factory to ensure that all orders and amendments are processed and communicated correctly with relevant stakeholders
- To ensure production schedules which are produced meet Internal Product Specification and Technical guidelines
- Monitor and maintain stock levels of products where required
- Handle internal and external queries, ensuring accurate and efficient responses
The Successful Applicant
A successful FMCG Food Planner, Nottingham should have:
- Proficiency in supply chain software
- Ideally some planning experience with use of MRP/ERP is advantageous
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- An understanding of FMCG industry regulations and standards
- A proactive approach to work, with a focus on continuous improvement
