Together we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the team. You will ensure adequate communication and understanding of customer requirements, ensuring project execution takes place by managing schedule, budget, and planning of resource requirements.
Responsibilities
- Working with directors, engineering, and sales managers to fully identify the customer needs during the bidding and execution phase.
- Identification of the human, financial and hardware resources required to properly execute a project.
- Assisting in the identification of areas of risk within the project such that this may be highlighted to the client/stakeholders.
- Responsible for the successful execution of projects to budget and schedule.
- Preparation of scopes of work, time, and resource plans.
- Working with the engineering and workshop managers to ensure that the design development and realisation processes are followed as defined within the integrated management system.
- Reporting to the directors on project status, issues concerns and actions required.
- Client/stakeholder communication.
Requirements
- Degree in a technical discipline, preferably engineering.
- 5 years experience in a project–related environment, either as a PM or a PE.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook, as well as the electronic calendar.
- Excellent communication/interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with attention to detail.
- Must be able to follow instructions and work on own initiative.
- Flexibility and adaptability to ensure tasks are prioritised appropriately.
- Understanding of fundamental engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
- Experience working with sub–suppliers.
- Experience of managing small teams of engineers and project personnel.
- Experience of dealing with clients.
