Job description

Our client seeks a project accountant to assist their team on a 9 - 12-month contract. Role Profile: You will assist with a number of projects and improvement initiatives. This role is within the Financial Accounting and Reporting (FAR) Team, where you will work with managers and existing business as usual (BAU) staff to deliver improvements to processes, including automation. Key Responsibilities: Deliver improvements and automation to existing processes. Prepare for the implementation of new regulatory and reporting requirements, such as Pillar II. Provide technical input and analysis to ensure that processes meet financial and regulatory reporting requirements. Work with other finance teams and wider operational teams to ensure that solutions meet all business requirements. Support the BAU team in implementing agreed solutions. Key Skills and Experience: Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA). Experience in improving processes and systems and implementing automation. Strong PC skills including working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Access. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. An ability to prioritise tasks and deliver results within tight deadlines. An ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proven analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience of improving processes would be an advantage. Previous experience using SAP in an operational accounting role desirable.
