What’s the Job?
We’re looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our Engineering and Renewable Transport team who are responsible for delivering high-quality learning to external clients, apprentices, and full-time and college academy students within this area in a college that aims to be one step ahead.
You will support the learners in achieving qualifications across a range of levels of further and higher education and/ or apprenticeships, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to enable them to be successful in their chosen career.
Who we’re looking for?
We’re looking for a qualified Electrical Engineering expert who is a professional in what they do. Ideally, you will have an SCQF level 7 in Electrical Engineering and a relevant teaching qualification such as TQFE would be advantageous although additional supported training will be available to help you achieve these qualifications. You will also have a minimum of 5 years of on-site practical experience where ideally you will have prior experience mentoring others in the industry. Within the lecturing post, you will have responsibility for delivering and assessing a high-quality learning experience in a range of topics from SCQF levels 4 to 8 to external customers, apprentices, full-time and college academy students to the required qualities and standards.
We want you to be an inspiring and motivated individual while also being capable of working well with a range of people and being able to respond clearly and flexibly to different work tasks. You will have up-to-date knowledge of the vocational area, effective time management skills, and be able to work to deadlines offering us the ability to inspire, motivate and raise the aspirations of learners in all that you do.
We’re looking for a Lecturer with excellent motivational, communication and organisational skills and exceptional knowledge of Electrical Engineering including renewable technologies, an individual who can transfer their skills to others, and who knows how to get things done.
Hours
35 hours per week - Full-time 08:50-16:50 – with evening and occasional weekend work as required.
