Job description
Our client, a leading, high–growth organisation with an entrepreneurial culture and proven track record promoting from within its ranks, has an opportunity for a talented and credible Finance Manager to join its team.
This is a broad role with great exposure to the Board and a clear path for growth across the wider business. The role would suit someone with a strong foundation in accounting, capable of also producing value–adding analysis. This would likely be a Chartered Accountant either straight from practice or with some industry experience.
Main duties include:
Reviewing monthly management accounts including monthly P&L reviews and challenge balance sheet reconciliations, identifying risks and opportunities
Supervising the month end process and the production of monthly management accounts
Developing board packs to be rolled out across the Group, discussing the performance and financial position of the business
Producing insightful MI and KPI analysis
Reviewing monthly VAT returns
Reviewing annual budgets and quarterly reforecasts
Reviewing year end audit packs
Ad hoc tasks/projects
Key skills & experience required:
ACA/ACCA Qualified with PQE
Strong communicator with proven leadership skills
Ability to challenge and influence Senior Management when needed
Solid background in statutory and management reporting, preferably gleaned in audit
Clear commercial nous and ability to understand and explain key business drivers
Self–starter who is able to prioritise workload and manage expectations upwards
