We are currently seeking a Clear & Clean Operative to join our estate services team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing our empty homes by conducting property clearance, final cleans, and garden work as necessary. This is an important role that contributes to maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and presentation of our properties.
Requirements
Outline of Key responsibilities for the Clear & Clean Operative…
- Prepare our empty homes by conducting property clearance, final cleans and garden works were necessary.
- Carry out a range of waste management tasks ensuring all waste streams are sorted and recycled appropriately and identify furniture that can be upcycled to our Re-Use offer.
- Undertake the collection of deliveries when required ensuring the depot is kept clean and free from obstructions.
- Assist in motivating staff, volunteers/placements, trainees and apprentices to provide a high quality customer focused service.
- As directed support all areas of the department covering Mobile Cleaning, Estate Services Team and Grounds Maintenance.
- Easy to do business with and deliver great services
- Communicate clearly and simply when keeping residents’ updates
- Take ownership of the residents’ issues and achieve high customer satisfaction
- Work to the highest standards of health and safety and assist with the promotion of a positive safety-first culture.
- Ensure all operations are compliant within our risk assessment & COSHH framework and industry legislation
- Carry out basic checks, servicing and maintenance of equipment in accordance with the relevant operator’s manual.
We are looking for someone who has…
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Practical experience of Cleaning or Caretakin g
- Experience working in a customer orientated environment. With a flexible approach to working hours in order to achieve work demands & priorities, including a willingness to go the extra mile for our customers
- Knowledge of and ability to operate relevant cleaning/caretaking equipment and machinery
- Knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act and specific site safety
- A good standard of literacy and numeracy to enable accurate record keeping

- Salary: £20,972 per annum (Pay review pending)
