Our Client is a Building and Energy Design Consultancy, carrying out sustainable building and energy assessments, that deliver Low Energy and passive buildings through iterative design and specification process. My client is looking for a Senior Energy Consultant to join their team

With a high profile project portfolio that has included major works for the likes of Channel 4, University of Leeds, as well as retailers such as Lidl and Asda, this well known and highly respected contractor has experienced rapid growth year on year with an annual t/o of circa £50m.
Setting them apart from many of their direct competitors is their belief and desire to bring to market the most cost effective and energy efficient schemes, promoting renewable technology when appropriate and identifying opportunities to reduce carbon emissions. This “greener agenda” has seen the demand for their services explode and facilitated such expediential growth, with recruitment high on the agenda to support the design, operations and commercial teams in their daily work.
Working closely with the estimation and operations teams, a seasoned Electrical Building Services Design Engineer is required to take a leading role within the pre construction design setup and provide full detailed design services for a wide range of buildings across the commercial, industrial, leisure, retail and education sectors. The successful candidate will be able to appropriately prioritise their project responsibilities and work under limited supervision, achieving deadlines and providing a flexible client face service. Along with producing accurate and innovative electrical designs, it would also be expected that a sensible approach to cost would be applied, ensuring recommendations were commercially viable and aligned to the expectation of the customer.
Applications are invited from experienced Building Services Electrical Design Engineers who have a proven track record of successfully bringing together design packages for lighting and power, using standard industry software such as Amtech and Relux. A basic understanding of mechanical services (HVAC) would also be desirable, working closely with colleagues across numerous departments to help deliver first class results. This position would best fit a strong Intermediate or Senior/Principal level Engineer looking to advance their career and work in an environment where everyone contributes - including the Directors. A passion for energy reduction and the NetZero agenda would also see you in good company.
