Are you a passionate Heritage Consultant with a deep appreciation for preserving and celebrating our cultural heritage? Carrington West are proud to be working with a well-established private consultancy based in Oxford, and play a pivotal role in shaping the future while respecting the past.


Our client is a renowned heritage consultancy dedicated to providing expert advice on the preservation and management of cultural heritage assets. With a rich history of successful projects, we take pride in our commitment to balancing modern development needs with the preservation of our invaluable heritage.


As a Heritage Consultant, you will be a vital part of our team, contributing your expertise to a variety of heritage projects. From historic buildings and landscapes to archaeological sites, you will work closely with clients to ensure the sustainable management and conservation of our cultural heritage.


Key Responsibilities:


·Conduct heritage assessments and impact assessments for proposed developments.
·Provide expert advice on conservation principles and best practices.
·Prepare heritage statements, conservation management plans, and other relevant documentation.
·Collaborate with clients, architects, and planning authorities to achieve positive heritage outcomes.
·Stay abreast of relevant legislation and best practices in heritage conservation.


Requirements:


·Degree in Heritage Management, Conservation, Archaeology, or a related field.
·Proven experience in heritage consultancy, with a focus on built heritage and cultural landscapes.
·Strong knowledge of UK heritage legislation, policies, and conservation principles.
·Excellent report writing and communication skills.
·Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
·Membership or eligibility for membership with a relevant professional body.
