Job Description
We're looking for an experienced global Credit Manager to work within a dynamic, and fast paced international company.
This individual will be responsible for overseeing our global debt collection and implementation of robust group credit policies. You will have the opportunity to manage and grow a high-performing credit control team, overviewing and enhancing the debt collection reporting. You will be the key contact person in the region for all credit control matters. A highly motivated individual with the ability to work proactively and independently, you must be able to communicate at all levels and across functions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and implement robust Credit Control policies across the Group, optimise processes and ERP systems in collaboration with a Transformation Process Lead.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, facilitating regular review meetings to focus on timely debt collection and meet set targets and timetables.
- Develop and collate updates to the Credit Management Committee, comprising Senior Financial and Commercial figures, on progress against targets.
- Oversee a team of 2 in the UK, with additional dotted line oversight of 4 financial accountants responsible for debt collection in the rest of the world.
- Ensure meticulous accuracy and timeliness in updating debt collection notes and follow-up actions.
- Take ownership of operational issues, devising practical solutions, implementing robust credit control measures in ERP, and escalating concerns appropriately.
The Successful Applicant
The Credit Manager will need to have:
- Proven experience in Collections and team management.
- Demonstrated application of Best Practice within a corporate setting.
- Exceptional attention to detail with experience in Debt Status Reporting.
- Developing a strong customer service ethos globally, aiming to resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills, particularly in liaising with Sales Teams and External Customers.
- Driving superior organisation and time management capabilities, proven through successful multitasking.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics (or similar ERP system) and Microsoft Office Excel.
- A proactive self-starter with a dedication to continuous improvement and process automation.
- A collaborative problem-solving approach
