Location London
Salary: £60,000 - £65,000
Working opportunity within our UK team for driven professionals in Marine Geoscience, Energy Geoscience, or Marine Geophysics to become integral members of our skilled and dynamic team. Your role will involve contributing to a variety of projects, with a primary focus on the offshore renewables sector.
Qualifications
- A robust academic foundation with a relevant degree, preferably an MSc or equivalent, incorporating geophysics and marine geoscience components.
- Chartered Status with esteemed bodies like the Geological Society or the Society for Underwater Technology (SUT).
- Experience and comprehension of project management methodologies, particularly tailored to the requirements and methodologies of geoscience consultancy in sectors such as offshore wind, subsea cables, and hydrogen storage.
- Substantial applied background and hands-on experience in Marine Geology, Energy Geoscience, and/or Geophysics.
- Extensive firsthand experience as a Marine Geoscientist or Marine Geophysicist in related fields like offshore renewables, offshore geophysical surveying, research, or oil and gas.
- Capacity to lead and nurture marine geoscience and geophysics project teams effectively.
- Demonstrated expertise in leading multidisciplinary teams to successful project outcomes.
- Familiarity with seismic interpretation software.
Role Responsibilities
- Serving as a Technical Reviewer for projects related to Marine Geoscience, Offshore Ground Modelling, and Marine Geophysics.
- Leading and guiding junior members of the Marine Geoscience and Geophysics team to foster their professional development.
- Taking on the role of bid manager for strategic bids in marine geoscience, geophysics, or cables.
- Representing AtkinsRéalis at various industry events to showcase expertise and build partnerships.
- Cultivating a network of business contacts to enhance the growth of the Marine Geoscience technical network.
- Spearhead the development and oversight of technical investment tasks and initiatives.
- Providing mentorship to early-career team members in Marine Geoscience workflows to facilitate their growth and skill development.
