Head of School, Boundstone Nursery School

Pay range: L5 - L10: £52,074 - £58,959

Start date: September 2024

Closing date: Monday 22nd April 2024, 9am

The Governing Body of West Sussex Nursery Schools Federation is seeking an inspirational Head of School who has the drive and imagination to further develop the outstanding practice across our vibrant Nursery School including the Special Support Centre and Under Three’s Daycare provision. The successful candidate will be a visionary leader with a passion for early years learning and inclusivity.

You will be working as part of the newly formed West Sussex Nursery Schools Federation, in collaboration with the other Heads of School at Bognor Regis & Chichester Nursery School and alongside our Executive Headteacher to find new and innovative ways of working and sharing excellent practice and expertise to further improve all 3 schools for our children and families.

Boundstone Nursery School is a very special place, strongly rooted in its local community and as a former Children’s Centre, working closely with families to achieve the very best for our children. With a long-established Special Support Centre for children with Speech and Language disorders and delays and a high number of children with additional needs on role, a strong commitment to inclusivity is vital.

You will need to demonstrate:
● an in depth knowledge of child development from 0-5 years;
● a strong belief in the value of play and child-led learning;
● the ability, dedication and commitment to working in partnership with families, governors and other professionals;
● a commitment to supporting children with additional needs;
● a proven track record of effective and supportive leadership;
● an inclusive philosophy which embraces and celebrates diversity;
● a commitment to an exciting learning environment and the value of outdoor learning.
