Job Description

Our client based in Blackburn are looking for a SeniorAccountant to join their buzzy team. You will be responsible for managing aclient portfolio of companies with large turnovers, as well as supporting ateam of 4 junior members of staff.

As a Senior Accountant, your duties will include;

• Preparationof accounts and corresponding tax returns for sole traders, partnershipsand limited companies
  
• Completingmonthly and yearly management accounts
  
• VATReturns.
  
• Resolvingqueries from clients relating to their accounts.
  
• Offeringadvice and support to your client, building a good rapport with them.
  
• Bankand Statement reconciliations
  
• Preparationand use of budgets, cashflows and management accounts;
  
• Attendingoccasional networking events
  

Requirements for the Senior Accountant include:

• Experienceworking within an accountancy practice (essential)
  
• Aninquiring analytical mind and ability to work under own initiative
  
• Confidenceto communicate effectively with clients and the team
  
• Strongverbal and written communication skills
  
• Experiencemanaging a team (preferred)
  
• Auditexperience (preferred)
