As Deputy Head of UK Design & Engineering, you will guide a team of talented professionals in delivering innovative solutions that blend engineering excellence with sustainable practices.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist in managing the Design and Engineering department, ensuring project deliverables meet timelines and standards.
Lead in creating technical solutions, focusing on cost-efficiency and client budget considerations.
Utilise industry-standard software for structural modelling, ensuring compliance with engineering and building codes.
Innovate in structural, cladding, and connection detailing to optimize design and functionality.
Provide leadership and technical guidance within the team, promoting a culture of excellence and innovation.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of software, tools, and product costs relevant to design and engineering processes.
Communicate effectively with clients and team members to resolve technical issues and ensure project success.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards throughout project lifecycles.
Engage in continuous professional development to lead by example and maintain the team's competitive edge.
Foster interdisciplinary collaboration, attending and contributing to meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Degree or equivalent in Structural Engineering, with membership in IStructE or ICE.
Proven experience as a senior structural engineer leading multidisciplinary teams.
Demonstrable skills in steelwork design, from concept through to fabrication, and knowledge of glass, grid shell, and connection design.
Experience of working with Ethylene Tetrafluoroethylene (ETFE) would be beneficial.
Proficiency in Rstab, IDEA Statica, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Familiarity with British and European engineering, building, and design codes.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills, paired with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration abilities across various levels and departments.
