We are looking for personal assistant to help a 14-year-old female who is looking for a companion to do activities with. Our client has global development delay and is a wheelchair user. She has the ability to walk with support on short distances so will need your arm or hand. When transferring only needs assistance with lifting legs into the car for example. She enjoys swimming, bowling and time away from her parents. Initially support will be in the house to build a relationship and then on outings when she feels comfortable. She is incontinent and uses a peg at times for feeding so your skill base in these areas would be preferred.

We would ask that you write a small paragraph about yourself which will allow the family to gain a better idea of why you would like to have this post.

Applicants must have a caring attitude, have a good sense of humour, be reliable with a positive and flexible approach to work. Having experience within this area would be of benefit.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Accompany to social activities.
• Provision of assistance at social activities.
• Provision of personal care inclusive of assisting with PEG.

Peg training and experienced preferred.

This role requires an enhanced check through PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups).
