Media and External Relations Officer needed in Camden, £22.91ph PAYE - Reference: RQ1162459

• The post holder will be responsible for the successful delivery of the proactive and reactive media relations operation, as well as supporting key campaigns.
• Delivering a 24/7 digital media cycle the post holder will be responsible for providing strategic advice to senior managers and Cabinet members and forming strong relationships with the media.
• They will be expert at building relationships with key journalists and opinion formers and be adept at using and monitoring all forms of media including print, online and social media.
• The post holder will work directly with the Media Manager, taking on responsibility for specific areas to promote in the media and manage reputation on issues and projects across a range service, campaigns and public affairs activity.
• Supporting a 24/7 digital media cycle, the post holder will be responsible for providing media advice to senior managers and Cabinet members and forming strong relationships with the media.
• They will be expert at building relationships with and advising key journalists, leading on high-profile or sensitive stories.
• The post holder will contribute to the editorial content of Camden’s comms publications, social media and digital channels.

This is a full time role on a Temporary contract basis.
