Job Description
Key responsibilities
- Creating production schedules for each area of responsibility.
- Establishes and shares best practices for operations planning, inventory management, and resource management.
- Works with customer service to provide appropriate delivery dates.
- Calculate production lead times.
- Works closely with production planners and shift leaders to optimise production efficiency through SMART planning.
- Attends daily production meetings for their area of responsibility.
- ️ Places POs (Purchase Orders) for parts when required.
- Analyses back orders, current orders, and upcoming orders to prioritise, plan, and schedule the production operations.
- Monitors raw material and outsourced component stocks.
The Successful Applicant
Ideal Candidate:
- Minimum 2-year experience in manufacturing planning.
- Proficient IT skills for data entry, analysis, and reporting.
- Excellent knowledge of Excel.
- Experience with ERP systems, with SAP knowledge being a significant plus.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively across teams.
- Detail-oriented with a knack for problem-solving.
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
- Proven track record of improving production efficiency.
- Openness to diversity and ability to work in a global team environment.
- Fluent in English, with additional languages appreciated.
- Lean Manufacturing experience isn't required but would be a definite advantage.
