SAP Transport Management Consultant

A bit about the role
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary SAP Delivery Team translating business requirements into detailed design and delivering the requirements by developing or enhancing previous versions or user tools.
As a Birchman SAP Transport Management consultant, you will be responsible for the full end to end project lifecycle, delivering SAP solutions from design, configuration, development through to implementation, support and training as well as providing consultancy to Birchman’s existing customer installations.
What we want from you
·5+ years’ experience in SAP Transport Management functional consultancy to clients.
· To provide expert advice on SAP Transport Management to clients.
· To develop and implement transport management strategies.
· To analyse transport data and develop reports.
· To provide training and support to clients on Transport Management best practices
· To configure and maintain our Private Cloud solution for clients.
· Knowledge of strategic freight procurement and strategic freight sales, essential.
· The ability to build customer-oriented collaborative relationships, working in partnership to deliver effectively.
· Strong communication skills and team working capability.
· Ideally, a Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
· Proven experience in advanced Transport Management consultancy.
· Knowledge of transport regulations and legislation
Your day-to-day
To manage relationships or the interface with Birchman’s clients - either directly on client site, face to face or remotely via a voice or video conferencing solution.
To gather client requirements, conducting As-Is & To-Be analysis and studies.
Preparation of the client’s Business Blueprint / design documentation.
To manage the client’s requirements, advising on solution design, system configuration, testing, user training, data conversion, documentation, integration and Go Live Support.
Mapping the client’s technical structure to SAP Transport Management best practice processes.
To develop best practice SAP customisation and configuration which meets the client’s requirements and needs.
To work closely with Birchman colleagues to ensure solution delivery provides enhanced customer satisfaction.
Configuration experience of Transport Management master data.
To ensure that Birchman’s project management processes and standards are applied, maintained or are escalated appropriately if required.
To work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to new business development or on selling opportunities as necessary.
To design and deliver relevant workshops; providing coaching and training as required.
To create comprehensive documentation around solution development to enable knowledge sharing and user training.
