Principal Educational Psychologist
Location: Wales
Salary: £700-£750 per day
Contract Type: Temporary with view to go permanent (inside or outside IR35)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled and experienced Principal Educational Psychologist to join our LA Client, located in the beautiful landscapes of Wales. As a key player in our educational support services, you will contribute to the enhancement of the educational experiences and outcomes for children and young people in the region.
You will have the ability to work from home but there will be an expecation of visiting site one day per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strong leadership and strategic direction for the Educational Psychology team.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement effective educational psychology services aligned with the vision and objectives of the Local Authority.
- Oversee the delivery of high-quality psychological assessments, interventions, and consultations to support children, young people, and educational professionals.
- Ensure services are in compliance with Welsh policies and legislations, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of Educational Psychologists, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Provide mentorship and support to enhance the skills and capabilities of team members.
- Establish and maintain effective partnerships with schools, parents, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Represent the Local Authority in collaborative initiatives to improve educational outcomes for children and young people.
Requirements:
- Must be a qualified Educational Psychologist and HCPC registered.
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership role within an educational psychology setting.
- In-depth understanding of Welsh educational policies and legislations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex educational challenges.
