Job Advert: Finance Administrator
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 3 months
Location: Carluke, ML8 area
Hours: 40 hours per week, Mon - Fri 8.30am - 5pm
Salary: £24,000 - £28,000 per annum

Our client is a a dynamic and growing company based in Carluke, seeking a skilled Finance Administrator to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the financial operations of our organization.

Duties:
  • Receive, verify, and process all purchase, subcontractor, sales, invoices, credit notes, receipts, and adjustments through contract costing to accounts in a timely manner.
  • Match purchase invoices to purchase orders and ensure filing and archiving of all relevant documents both electronically and manually.
  • Ensure supplier payments are made promptly.
  • Manage the administration of customers, subcontractors, and suppliers including all new account and credit applications.
  • Process and reconcile all daily, weekly, monthly, and year-end accounting transactions, tasks, and reports.
  • Act as the first point of contact for all internal/external financial queries/assistance.
  • Process monthly journals including depreciation, accruals, and prepayments.
  • Perform VAT reconciliation and returns.
  • Administer CIS Returns.
  • Produce and reconcile management accounts and perform month-end routines.
  • Perform year-end routines and reporting.
  • Provide payroll cover.
  • Undertake other general admin duties as required.
Essential Experience/Skills:
  • Minimum of 3 years' knowledge and experience in accounting or bookkeeping, preferably with Pegasus accounts, job costing, and payroll software (or equivalent package).
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in payroll software and process.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and within a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to naturally build positive relationships within the entire office environment.
  • Minimum standard qualification in English and Maths.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft core products.
  • Good overall IT knowledge.
  • Business administration/accounting qualification preferable.
  • Driving license.
