Job Title: Area Sales Manager – Construction Heavy Plant HireIndustry Sector: Plant Hire, Excavators, Dumpers, Dozers, Telehandlers, Construction, Civil Engineering Contractors, Landscaping Contractors, Groundcare Contractors, End Users, Machinery, Main Contractors, Housebuilder Developers, Recycling/ Waste ContractorsArea to be covered: South East (South of M4/ River Thames)

Remuneration: £42,000 + £10,000 Bonus

Benefits: Fully expensed Car & Full BenefitsThe role of the Area Sales Manager – Construction Heavy Plant Hire will involve:

• Field sales role, selling the hire of heavy construction plant hire
• Selling excavators, dumpers, dozers and telehandlers
• Selling into building contractors, main contractors, housebuilder developers, archaeologists and waste/ recycling contractors
• 60-70% new business (some dormant customers to approach)
• 30-40% account management
• Acing as the sole dedicated hire sales person for the company
• Targeted to increase hire sales by circa £1m
• Multiple construction sites visits daily

The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager – Construction Heavy Plant Hire with:

• Proven track record of construction field sales success
• Construction hire industry experience preferred
• Must have knowledge, ideally sold, heavy plant hire (may be open to heavy plant sales)
• Specific knowledge of excavators, dumpers, dozers and telehandlers advantageous
• Contacts within building contractors, main contractors, housebuilder developers, archaeologists and waste/ recycling contractors on patch may be useful
• Physically fit
• Stable career history
