The Best Connection are delighted to be supporting our client who is looking for a FLT Counterbalance truck driver for their site in Chesterfield.
You must have experience with FLT Counterbalance
40.00 Hour week.
Day shift
The overall objective of Role?
To operate a Forklift truck within the warehouse and perform primary duties:
You will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, and stack stock. Accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and you will also be required to perform other duties in the warehouse as required. Must have experience using a Counterbalance Forklift Truck. You will be picking and packing goods some of which will be up to 25k (so some labour intense work involved). 30% of the work required will be use of the Forklift Truck the other duties will be packing, moving products manually. General housekeeping duties.
Primary Duties:
- Start of day safety checks on the FLT being used and completion of report(s) *
- Checking and putting away stock.
- Moving stock for Replenishment using pick sheets
- Check the deliveries against paperwork.
- Order picking as required using the Counterbalance forklift truck/manual work.
- Keep the warehouse clean and tidy.
- Lifting and moving stock manually
Key Skills:
- Highly organised and good attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Experience of stock handling/warehousing
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
- Work well as part of a team.
- High level of numeracy
- Excellent planning skills in order to meet required deadlines, ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate a pro-active 'can do attitude.
- Experience of using picking system
- Must be able to lift heavy products
