Maths Subject Performance Leader

M1 - UPS3: £30,000 - £46,525 per annum, plus TLR 1c (£13,550)

This is an exciting opportunity for you to become the leader of our dynamic mathematics team. We are looking for a professional who is forward thinking and capable of inspiring students and teachers through their passion for maths. You will be joining an experienced and supportive team of professionals who focus relentlessly on ensuring that students develop a love of learning for Maths and make outstanding progress. You will work with an experienced team of TLR holders within the department – one for each of KS3, 4 and 5. The maths team are all specialist maths teachers and have driven significant improvements in student progress; placing in the top 15% of schools nationally for KS4 progress in maths in 2023 and achieving consistently excellent results at A level.

The Kimberley School is an oversubscribed and vibrant school with a very successful, high-achieving, sixth form where maths is a popular choice at A level. We are situated close to the M1 with easy links to Nottingham / Nottinghamshire and Derby/Derbyshire. The school enjoys superb facilities and, as part of the East Midlands Education Trust, has a very bright future. We aim to ensure that students achieve outstanding academic exam results; and that they have access to a vast range of exciting opportunities outside of the classroom that help prepare them for a successful adult life.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a strong classroom practitioner with a track record of improving standards and a commitment to high quality teaching and learning for all. We are looking for a leader who aims to remove barriers to learning, communicates a passion for their subject that inspires, motivates and enthuses students and colleagues about mathematics. If you share our aim and have a passion for teaching maths, then we want to hear from you. As part of East Midlands Education Trust there will also be the opportunity to work with other maths leaders across the trust and to pursue National Professional Qualifications.
