We are currently looking for a Chef Lead to work with our integral team at Anglo American, Woodsmith Mine, Whitby YO22 5BF

- Part time – 17 hours per week

What you'll be doing
- Leading your team to success and acting as a trainer and supporter
- Managing the team on shifts and delegating tasks
- Supporting with food orders
- Ensure safety of customers and co-workers
- Check all food is compliant with allergens
- Run and supervise any kitchen section to the required standards set by the Head Chef
- Following recipe cards to prepare, cook and serve a range of meals
- Completing daily paperwork to cover due diligence
- Assisting with deliveries and stock checks / placing orders
- Placing food orders and maintaining kitchen records
- To monitor and record temperatures of fridges, freezers, hot cabinets and serveries.
- Assisting in daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans
- Full knowledge of all menu items served
Experience
- Previous experience of working in a kitchen with food is required
- A confident leader
- Relevant qualification is desirable however we do offer apprenticeships which enable you to ‘earn whilst you learn’
- Allergen awareness (i.e Natasha’s Law), full training will be given
- Excellent team player and communicator
- DBS and credit checks required
