Job description
FM Conway is currently seeking to employ an experienced Picker Operative to join the team based out of our Recycling depot in Dartford.
As our Picker Operative you will work closely with our Crusher Operator to monitor the conveyor belt, ensuring the quality of the material is to the required standard, whilst removing any rubbish or any other unwanted material. The duties of the role will include: -Picking all rubbish from the conveyor belts in the picking shed -Monitoring the quality of material and reporting any issues to Supervisor -Assisting the crusher operator with the cleaning and greasing of the crusher and ensuring that metal skips are cleaned daily -Supporting engineers and the Crusher Operator with blow bar change and other repairs -Working closely with the Crusher Operator and learning the full operation of the crusher to cover sickness and holiday - Carrying out daily defect sheet on crusher and accessories and reporting any defects to site Supervisor What skills and experience do you need? We are looking for candidates who are able to work in a busy environment, you will have a strong concern for order and quality and you will be self motivated. To be considered for this role you will have previous experience operating various items of plant. An excavator license and telehandler license would also be desirable however are not essential.
