The Technical Ceramics business of Morgan Advanced Materials engineers high performance functional and structural ceramic materials, components and sub-assemblies to address customer-specific technical challenges.
Key Figures: Revenue £1,112m (2022), ~8,500 employees, manufacturing in 30+ countries, and a global customer portfolio. A UK PLC with head office located in Windsor, Berkshire UK. Listed on London Stock Exchange; Member of the FTSE 250 Index.
The ideal candidate will support the full scope of Human Resources responsibilities and partner with the organization on strategic initiatives. The incumbent will maintain and enhance the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating human resources policies, programs, training and practices. This position will lead a Team of one (1) HR Generalist. Position reports to the Global HR Business Partner.
Provide HR leadership and direction to achieve business objectives by administering, developing and implementing programs in the areas of compensation, recruiting, industrial relations, employee benefits, payroll, communication, employee recognition, training, development and EHS programs.

- Develops programs to enhance employee engagement, improve relations and offers employee support.
- Implementation and continuous improvement in plant HR policies, procedures, and programs.
- Mediator, counselor, and facilitator in resolving disputes between employees and their supervisors and managers.
- Educates and trains supervisors and employees on policies, processes, and guidelines in alignment with the regional HR strategy.
- Manages employee transactions including hiring, terminations, discipline, and performance management, etc.
- Drives the Performance Management and Development process.
- Manages and updates employee data and HR systems.
- Prepares and processes various reports ensuring compliance with company and government regulations.
- Supports overall Benefit program including health, life, Savings Funds, Pension Plans, and bonuses.
- Supports the deployment of safety programs.
- Develops the Recruitment Strategy, including College hires and retention strategies for critical employees.
- Develops and deploys the talent development and retention strategies for production employees.
- Communicates and tracks corporate compliance programs.
- Proactively seeks to understand business needs and propose proactive solutions for resolution and to drive continuous improvement
- Counsels and advises the site and functional business leaders on matters related to Talent Management, Succession Planning, Training and Development, Feedback and Coaching, Employee Relations matters, and Promotion decisions
- Shapes and manages Employee Engagement initiatives, Communication plans, and culture boosting activities.
- 7+ years of experience as an HR Manager within a manufacturing environment. Demonstrated success in leading the HR function in multiple locations. College degree a plus.
- Comprehensive understanding of local and federal employment laws.
- Experience coaching, leading, and developing others.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication and relationship-building skill
- General knowledge of UK employment law
- Be up to date on HR policies and procedures; on-going education in HR field to keep up with UK law changes
- Must maintain employee confidentiality
- Must have experience with leading complex investigations
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and have the ability to present data / ideas to Senior Leadership
- Must be able to partner with subordinates, peers, and leadership across all functions and externally
- Must be able to follow the company’s safety, ethics, sexual harassment, discrimination, and general employee policies
- Excellent communication skills and demonstrated teamwork and leadership abilities are also essential
