Job description
Veterinary Surgeon - Derbyshire
- Salary up to £75,000 DOE
- No OOHs
- £1,500 CPD allowance and certificate support

Purovets are looking for a veterinary surgeon to join the team at an independent, family-run practice in the beautiful Derbyshire countryside. They are determined to continue to maintain and reinforce their practice ethos in everything they do, so they would love to find confident vets with a minimum of 2 years of experience to join their first opinion practice. This can be a part or full time position. You will have good communication skills and be enthusiastic, caring and compassionate in everything you do.
You will be working in a warm, friendly environment for you to develop your skills and learn from others with many more years of experience. You will be joining a supportive and friendly team comprising of 4 Vets (including a certificate holder in surgery and another with chronic pain management and acupuncture), 6 RVN's, 2 physiotherapists, 6 receptionists and a practice manager who has worked in vet practices for over 30 years.
The practice is a purpose-built, fully air-conditioned building with a decent list of toys to play with, including direct digital radiography, computed digital dental radiography, ultrasonography and comprehensive in-house IDEXX lab equipment. There is also a full rehabilitation service available in-house, with laser, hydrotherapy and physiotherapy capabilities, and an ever-increasing wish list that they are working their way through. You will have a busy, but not chaotic, workload with a good variety of cases, so you will never get bored.
You will be working in Swadlincote, a market town in Derbyshire that boasts a rich industrial history rooted in coal mining and pottery production. Today, it blends its industrial heritage with modern amenities, featuring parks, shopping centres, and cultural attractions. The town's diverse community and scenic surroundings contribute to its unique charm and character. Birmingham is just 30 minutes away and there is easy access to the motorway network for travel all over the UK. There are also three international airports nearby: East Midlands, Birmingham, and Manchester airports.
Role:

Benefits:

- Certificate support
- VDS and RCVS fees paid
