The role:
A global FinTech is looking for an Integrations Engineer to join an innovative team. This role involves analysing system requirements, designing and developing APIs, coding, and ensuring smooth integration of software applications. The ideal candidate will be adept at performance optimisation, testing, debugging, and documentation, with a strong focus on collaboration and staying current with industry trends.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Analyse system requirements to understand integration needs and constraints.
- Design and develop new integration solutions based on customer requirements.
- Develop and maintain APIs for effective software communication.
- Write and review code, ensuring compatibility, data consistency, and adherence to best practices.
- Support application program implementations and resolve any bugs.
- Identify and implement system performance optimisations.
- Conduct thorough testing to resolve compatibility issues or bugs.
- Troubleshoot and debug integration problems.
- Create comprehensive documentation for integration processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and system administrators.
- Manage software upgrades and updates for compatibility.
- Implement monitoring tools for integrated systems.
- Offer third-line support for internally developed software.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud computing services and models (eg, Azure, AWS, microservices).
- Knowledge of Azure CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with BizTalk and SQL Server.
- Development experience using C# and Visual Studio.
- Proficiency in Scripting languages (eg, PowerShell).
- Understanding of messaging formats (eg, REST, XML, CSV).
