Job description
I am currently working with a successful Business Group who are looking to recruit a Group Finance Manager to join them with the aim to improve and lead cost efficiencies within the Finance function. As a Group they thrive on improving lives and transforming social environments through improved standards of living. As Group Finance Manager you will need the ability to oversee the Group finances – end to end group operational processes and work closely with the Group Finance Director to create and implement new and streamlined processes. Main objectives of the role will be: With Key Tasks/Responsibilities: ● Manage the finance team (8 direct reports, 1 qualified accountant) on a day-to-day basis ● Review the monthly management accounts ● Production of monthly board papers to specified timescales ● Finance lead on progress of departmental objectives ● Business partner for commercial and development teams ● Involvement in the annual statutory accounts process ● Involvement in the annual budgetary process ● Completion of quarterly VAT returns, annual P11Ds ● Dealing with third parties re: tax queries, stat accounts/audit, ONS ● Lead on GDPR audit process ● Finance lead on ERP implementation ● Complete quarterly one to one's and annual appraisal with all direct reports ● Senior involvement in credit control function, approving credit limits, due diligence etc The successful Candidate will be CIMA / ACCA or ACA Qualified and ideally have a background in the construction or housing industries.
