The post holder will provide clinical leadership within the multidisciplinary Mental Health Liaison Service team based in the acute general hospital setting, working alongside acute colleagues to improve the mental health and well-being of patients who present to acute general hospital for care and treatment..

Responsibilities

• The Team Leader will work with the MHLS Service Manager in continuing to develop and deliver on an integrated Mental Health Liaison Service within Antrim and Causeway Hospital.
• Provide joint clinical leadership with medical colleagues in the management of patients and staff within MHLS to ensure safe clinical decision making and safe delivery of the service.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Registered Mental Health Nurse Level 1, Part 1 on live NMC register.
• 5 years post registration experience as a first level Mental Health Nurse.

Desirable Skills

• 1 years previous unscheduled care liaison experience in the general hospital.
• Previous management and clinical leadership experience.
• Evidence of leading change or new initiative and or other service improvement.
