Senior Buyer

6 month fixed term

Stockton-on-Tees

£50,000 - £55,000 pro rata

Hybrid working

Sellick Partnership are delighted to be supporting a large well-known organisation in the recruitment of a Senior Buyer on a 6 month fixed term basis to assist them in a time of business growth.

As a Senior Buyer, you will lead the sourcing activity for assigned categories across all sites and be the key point of contact for each site.

You will lead negotiations, provide procurement expertise and provide category knowledge for assigned categories and fully meet the needs of each site aligned with requirements.

The Senior Buyer will also be responsible for delivering cost avoidance and reduction, reducing supply risk, contributing to cash flow and securing the supply of materials to sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop purchasing strategy for allocated categories based on solid knowledge of the markets.
• Source new suppliers and materials identifying and selecting the best partners for business.
• Tender, negotiate and implement price agreements and contracts.
• Comply with policies and procedures.
• Working with the team to develop and ensure Best Practice in Purchasing.
• Provide Operational Purchasing with information to raise orders, outline agreements, and maintain purchasing data in the system.

Experience:

• Good experience in within purchasing and specifically negotiations.
• Strong communication skills, results driven and able to work effectively in a team.
• High level of skill in data management, systems and excel.
