Job description
We are looking for a kind and reliable female LIVE-IN carer for a long term placement for a 2 weeks on 2 weeks off rota.
£840/week. To start as soon as possible. The placement is close to Brookmans Park (outskirts of North London), near all amenities with easy transport links.
The job involves caring for a lovely lady with a chronic neurological condition . She is unable to move below the neck and requires all personal care, feeding, daily admin tasks and the up keep of the house taken care of. Much of the job will involve pairing up with a second carer.
The job would suit an experienced carer with a special interest in the psychological consequences and complexities of chronic disease and severe disability. The ability to communicate effectively to allay anxieties when necessary is essential, as is patience and a positive demeanor. Practical skills such as using a hoist, as well as some experience in bowel care are also necessary.
