Job description
Experienced Social Worker Job Description Service Care Solutions are seeking an Experienced Social Worker on behalf of Liverpool City Council's Early Help/MASH team.
The worker is required to ensure there is presence and decision making at the front door.
The successful candidate will carry out statutory duties and responsibilities to safeguard and achieve great outcomes for vulnerable children and young people in Liverpool.
Main Areas of Responsibility - Hold and effectively manage a complex and varied caseload with appropriate supervision, guidance, and support
- Undertake timely work within the Public Law Outline framework
- Identify and assess levels of risk and need in often complex situations
- Undertake parenting assessments which are informed by using best practice tools
- Deliver protective and/or supportive services for vulnerable children
Qualifications and Training - Social Work degree or equivalent social work professional qualification
- Registered with Social Work England
Skills/Abilities - Knowledge of children's legislation, statutory guidance, policy, and procedures
- Ability to undertake needs-led assessment and planning, applying critical reflection and analysis
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in written form and present coherent and relevant information to meetings/panels
- Ability to undertake direct work with children and young people and/or their carers
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
