The role: HR Specialist
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated HR Specialist on behalf of one of our trusted client partners within E-Learning. As the HR Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the full range of HR functions including culture & engagement, onboarding, employee relations, HR policy and compliance, training and development, data management, and team collaboration & development. You will serve as the cornerstone for the smooth operation of our client's people, culture, and social responsibility department, contributing directly to the overarching success of the business.
Responsibilities:
- Foster a culture of engagement where employees are not just contributors but enthusiastic participants in the company's journey
- Function as a central point of contact for addressing employee enquiries, concerns, and requests for guidance
- Skillfully mediate workplace conflicts and disputes, fostering harmonious employee relations
- Ensure meticulous compliance with employment laws and regulations
- Conduct periodic audits to validate and fortify policy adherence across the organisation
- Identify organisational training needs and actively contribute to the development and execution of targeted training programmes
- Maintain a meticulous and up-to-date record of employee data, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Generate insightful HR reports and analytics, providing management with valuable insights for strategic decision-making
- Promote seamless communication and collaboration with the broader team
- Act as a team player, working collaboratively in a supportive, passionate team dedicated to improving the lives of children and young people through education
Requirements
Essential
- Qualified to CIPD Level 3
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in HR
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and best practices
- Experience in recruitment and onboarding
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Proficient in HR software and MS Office
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable (but certainly not essential)
- Experience of working in an education setting
- Experience in online learning
- The ability to communicate in Welsh
