Finance Assistant

Uckfield (outskirts), £28,000 - £32,000, Permanent, Monday to Friday, 9am until 5pm, pensions scheme, onsite parking.

The Role

Travail Employment Group are excited to be working with our client in their search for a Finance Assistant to join their busy team. This position is responsible for maintaining financial records, processing invoices, assisting with budgeting and supporting other financial activities within the organisation. This is a great opportunity for an individual who has solid financial experience in a similar role.

Key responsibilities:

• Process Vendor invoices
• Maintaining records of all payables, including tracking due dates and resolving discrepancies
• Assist in generating and sending customer invoices and statements
• Record and reconcile customer payments in the accounting system
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding customer payments
• Maintain organised and up to date financial records, invoices, receipts and financial transactions
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements.
• Respond to internal and external finance related inquiries
• Collaborate with colleagues to resolve financial issues and discrepancies

The Person

The ideal candidate should be detail orientated, organised and possess a basic understanding of finance and accounting practises.

You will ideally be qualified to AAT Level 3 (or equivalent work experience) show strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Quickbooks Accounting software. It is essential that you are adaptable, flexible and able to work in a fast-paced working environment.
