About us
ODI (odi.org) is an independent, global think tank. We work to inspire people to act on injustice and inequality. Through research, convening and influencing, we generate ideas that matter for people and planet.
We are now recruiting a (Senior) Research Officer to help develop our emerging portfolio on food security in an era of urbanisation, rising poverty and climate change. The successful candidate’s initial portfolio will focus on sustainable, healthy diets in cities and on resilient, regenerative agriculture.
Under the supervision of Research Fellows, the successful candidate will:
The successful candidate will join ODI’s Climate and Sustainability programme. The Climate and Sustainability Programme at ODI is working to build a more equitable world, underpinned by climate-compatible development and sustainable stewardship of natural resources.
Main duties and responsibilities will include: Research, Project Management, Policy advice, public affairs and dissemination, fundraising among others.
Experience required will be: Experience in producing research outputs or policy advice in the field of food, agriculture, land use and/or urban development.
Note: A Research Officer will typically have 1-3 years of relevant experience. A Senior Research Officer will typically have 3-5 years of relevant experience or a PhD with 1-3 years of relevant experience.
