Procurement Project Manager - Capital Projects

Job description
Exceptional Procurement Project Management candidate required.
Based in Shanghai you will be part of a forward thinking team, focused on the delivery of sustainable energy solutions. As a key contributor to the growth of this global business and its journey through procurement transformation you will be responsible for the optimisation and implementation of the project procurement strategy for a major programme which is currently in design phase.
You will:
- Ensure all Engineering consultants, EPCm, Capital Equipment and services are defined and in line with the contracting strategy
- Lead the scoping of equipment packages
- Lead or support contract negotiations for equipment packages
- Lead the selection of the EPCm contractor and undertake contract negotiation
- Provide regular performance reporting
- Ensure the procurement activity for all packages, whether executed by BU or nominated FEED or EPCm consultant are conducted in a competitive and transparent manner and in accordance with project delivery requirements.
- Support the Supplier Sustainability Development Programme
Ideally you will be able to demonstrate:
- Strong commercial awareness
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to manage challenging and diverse stakeholder groups
- A minimum of 10 years experience in a procurement management role
- Knowledge of quality standards, tools and processes in addition to IChemE & FIDIC contracts
- Experience in leading or managing a team
